Settlement Support Program (SGP)
The Settlement Grants Program (SGP) at the Hume office provides support to all refugees and migrants living in the Hume region who have been living in Australia for up to 5 years.
The program aims to enhance the settlement process by supporting eligible entrants with a focus on the newly arrived refugees. This is achieved through casework and referral services, information provision on key life-skill topics, community development activities and integration through connection with mainstream service providers.

Community Development
The SGP program supports new and emerging community groups. Our work with community leaders and members is mainly about providing support to groups to find common goals, interests and needs with a view to developing community strategies. Our Hume office offers 2 meeting rooms and a 12 seater bus to all communities. Our rooms and bus are regularly used by various new community groups, especially those from New & Emerging Communities. We always welcome new participants for these services.
