What is the Small and Emerging CALD Communities ProgramThe program aims to identify Small and Emerging communities from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds who are Home and Community Care (HACC) eligible. It educates and raises awareness by engaging with people between the ages of 25 – 64 and provides an optional information pathway about HACC services available. Ways in which the Program’s aims are met include:
The program supports Small and Emerging CALD Communities that are:
community structures and ethno-specific support in terms of – individuals, organisations or agencies.
HACC: Home and Community Care (HACC) services. HACC services provide practical support for frail older people, people with disabilities & their carers, whose capacity for independent living in the community is at risk. What Areas Does the Program Cover and When Does it Run?The Small and Emerging CALD Communities Program covers the Western Metropolitan LGA’s; Brimbank, Hobsons Bay, Maribyrnong, Melton, Moonee Valley and Wyndham. The Program runs from 9-5pm Monday to Friday at the Migrant Resource Centre North West Region St Albans office.
