Individual Support
This qualification (formally Aged Care) reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.
Work involves using discretion and judgement in relation to individual support as well as taking responsibility for own outputs.
Workers have a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support.
Our classes are delivered using a combination of face to face and online learning.
Our contracted Trainers have long standing arrangements with MRC North West Region and deliver our Qualifications and Language, Literacy and Numeracy program.
Students are also required to complete 120 hours practical work-placement. Migrant Resource Centre North West Region (MRCNWR), on the student's behalf, will organise and place each student at a designated facility & community centre.
