Disability Support
Certificate IV in Disability prepares you to become a direct care worker, helping clients with disabilities reach their full potential.
Workers may be required to demonstrate leadership within a supervisor or managerial position.
A career in disability support is rewarding and allows you to empower and support people with disabilities.
No prerequisite for this Certificate.
Our classes are delivered using a combination of face to face and online learning.
Our contracted Trainers have long standing arrangements with MRC North West Region and deliver our Qualifications and Language, Literacy and Numeracy program.
Students are also required to complete 120 hours practical work-placement. Migrant Resource Centre North West Region (MRCNWR), on the student's behalf, will organise and place each student at a designated facility & community centre.

Fees

- Full fee for service $3450
MRCNWR students who do not qualify for government funding can apply for a payment plan to study. MRCNWR follow option 3 of AQTF condition 5- that the RTO does not charge any upfront fees over $150
Students must complete a mandatory work placement (120 hours) when nearing or after completing the learning and assessment requirements of the course. MRCNWR Student Support Team will assist you in finding a suitable workplace arrangement.
Entry requirements
- Language and literacy skills minimum result - 70% in MRCNWR's LLN assessment
Career pathway
Candidates may enter work roles in Disability Support with a Certificate IV qualification and at some stage build on that qualification to move into:
- Diploma level qualification by meeting the articulated entry requirements, which build on relevant competencies from Certificate IV level or equivalent.
Course outcome
Upon completion of this qualification, you will receive the nationally recognised CHC43115 Certificate IV in Disability along with a statement of attainment for the completion of each individual unit.
