MRC NWR welcomes volunteers. Volunteers support the service in many ways:
Volunteers come from all walks of life and backgrounds. Our volunteers include past clients, students and local residents. Volunteering is a time-honoured tradition in Australian society which helps build stronger and cohesive communities. Volunteering at MRC North West helps volunteers learn new skills and work experience to make people work ready.
It can provide some valuable insights for people who have an interest or undertaking studies in the welfare sector, and above all - volunteering makes you feel good in knowing that you are doing something for someone in need.
Volunteer positions require a National Police and/or Working with Children Check. This process is free of charge for volunteers. Some of the volunteer positions we have available are for: community events; aged care/support program; Learning Centre service program; form filling and administrative work.
